In the past I have never set New Years resolutions - other then jokingly commenting that something can be a New Years resolution. Weight loss/working out have even been among my joking comments. But all jokes aside, I do have lots of very healthful resolutions for this year.
1. Reach my goal weight 170 and beyond....well technically below =)
I don't think this is an unreasonable goal, especially when I know I can do it. With fifty-two weeks it's roughly 1.4 lbs a week. That is not a bad amount, when already I am always wishing for 2 pounds down.
2. Eating 75% clean
Where I am at right now, shooting for 100% is unrealistic. If I do get to 100%, well then that is exceptionally wonderful! I've got all these different factors that I am - as of now - unprepared for. Examples: Eating out, visiting family out of town, etc.
3. Workout 3 times a week -every week
I feel working out every day in the beginning will burn me out and I will be more likely to not succeed with this goal.
4. Join a workout class
I think a workout class would be good for me for multiple reasons. Firstly, more accountability. Second, more variety - since paying for a class, I won't do something I could do at home/by myself. I'm really thinking about a spin class. I'm just unsure about the whole not knowing anyone. Thinking of friends to enlist!
5. Complete my first 5K race!
My sites are set on The Color Run in Indy this coming March! So which in turn means I need to complete the Couch-to-5K program. Which I have every intentions of doing in preparation for The Color Run =)
6. Stick to Blogilates and Tone It Up for a month
I love each of their pages and their calanders are always amazing, but I get so busy I stray (Only been the last two months that I have printed the calanders) and then died out mid month. So I want to stick to Blogilates for one month and then Tone It Up see how that goes. I think maybe my pitfall has been attempting to do both at once and I'm not yet stuck in my new weighs ;) So going to give this a good go.
I want to be sure I reach my goals and I don't set them then forget them. To make sure that doesn't happen I plan to post these goals up where I can see them regularly and also periodically update how my resolutions are going.
